By using airy.earth you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Information, not advice

Air quality on airy.earth comes from forecast models and from monitors run by others. It can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and models miss street-level peaks. Don't rely on it alone for health, safety or other important decisions. Follow official alerts and advice from your local authorities and health professionals, and in an emergency contact your local emergency services.

No warranty

The site and its data are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. Features and data sources can change or stop without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the operators of airy.earth are not liable for any loss or damage arising from using the site or relying on its data.

Data and attribution

The data belongs to its providers and is used under their licences: Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service information via Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0), NOAA GFS, US EPA AirNow (preliminary data), Sensor.Community (ODbL), OpenAQ (licences vary by source), NASA FIRMS and GIBS, and OpenStreetMap contributors via OpenFreeMap and OpenMapTiles (ODbL). If you reuse any of it, follow the provider's licence and credit them. See where the data comes from.

Fair use

The /api endpoints exist to run this site. Light, occasional use is fine, but please don't scrape them in bulk, overload them, or use them as the backend of another service; we may limit or block heavy automated traffic. For forecast data at volume, use Open-Meteo directly under its terms.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
